WILLIAMS
Frank Arthur Williams, son of Park and Sarah Jane Williams, was born on a farm south of Chariton on August 23, 1886, and departed this life on October 26, 1973, at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital, where he had been admitted a few hours earlier.
His life has been spent in Chariton. He was a rural mail carrier until 1952, when he retired. For the last two years he had been a resident of the Chariton Manor.
He was united in marriage to Nora Vickroy on February 7, 1909. Their union was blessed with five children.
He is survived by one daughter, Neva Jeffries; seven grandchildren, Dick Seddon, James Jeffries of Chariton, Joe Jeffries of Lucas, Janice Christensen of Odessa, Texas, Carol Parrish of Minneapolis, Minn., Norman Williams of Ames, and Jeanne Tittlie of Peoria, Ill., twelve great-grandchildren and a brother, Elbert Williams of Russell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora, daughter, Sara Seddon; and three sons, Donald, Glen and Howard.
He was a member of the First Baptist of Chariton, and attended faithfully as long as health permitted.
He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by his family, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Edward Quick at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 1973, at the Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
