Charles Louis Jones, 74, of 541 1/2 27th, died Tuesday at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Mrs. Jones was born Jan. 31, 1893 in liberty, a son of Richard London and Clara Ellen Judkins Jones.
He had lived in Liberty and Eden before coming to Ogden.
On Mach 1, 1929, he was married to Florence May Suttlemyre in Ogden. He was an elder in the 26th LDS Ward. During World War I he served with the Army. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans of Ogden. he had farmed until 1939 and had been employed at Hill Air Force Base and Defense Depot Ogden and retired from Clearfield Naval Supply Depot in 1953.
Surviving are his widow, one son and three daughters, Richard Louis Jones, Mrs. Verna Pearl Pennebaker, both of Ogden; Mrs. George (Marie) Ross Jacox, Plain City; 16 grandchildren, three great - grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, Fred B. Jones, Newell Jones, both of Ogden; Mrs. David (Minerva) Chard, Liberty, Mrs John (Nettie) Brown, Idaho Falls.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop R. Neal Ball of the 26th Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and saturday until services.
