Sarah was born in North Ogden, Weber, Utah. the daughter of Richard Jones Jr. and Viola Cazier. Her mother died shortly after her birth. She is the youngest of six children. She married David Elery Chard,7 Jan 1903, in the Salt Lake temple. They are the parents of ten children, Henry David, Viola Minerva, Lysle Jones,Ray Elery,Clarence Glenn, Elden Grant, Naomi, Onel "J".,Bernice, Fern. She moved to Liberty with her family when about 2 years old and lived there the remainder of her life on a farm.
