Newel F. Jones, 84, 800 2nd, died Saturday at St. Benedict's Hospital of natural causes.
He was born April 20, 1888, in North Ogden, a son of Richard and Clara Judkins Jones,Sr.
He was married to Ivy Siefert who died in 1938.
He formerly lived in Eden where he had been a farmer. He was a member of the LDS 62nd Ward.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lurline Rigby, Ogden, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a brother, Fred B. Jones, Ogden; sister, Mrs. John A. (Jeanette) Brown, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Larkin Chapel of the Dawn with Bishop Duane N.. Frank of the 62nd ward officating. Friends may call at the mortuary Monday 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday prior to services. Burial will be in the North Ogden cemetery.
