CLAUDE O. LOCKHART
Claude O. Lockhart, 89, of Belpre, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1993, at his residence.

He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late John and Fonie Wilson Lockhart. He worked for American Viscose Co. for 17 years and for Union Carbide until his retirement.

He was a member of the Marietta Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Ruby Lockhart; one daughter, Clara Williams of Elyria, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Connie Holbert of Chester, VA; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clay Lockhart of Westminster, Calif.; two sisters, Laura Cooper and Goldie Perkins, both of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Velma Ott Lockhart; one son, Calvin Lockhart; one stepson, Ronnie Conley; four brothers and one sister.

Services were held at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with Evangelist Ron Laughery officiating. Burial was in Rockland Cemetery.
