Laura L Cooper, 95, of Parkersburg, died Saturday, May 1, 2004, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late John and Alfonsie Wilson Lockhart. Her husband, Dorsel B. Cooper, preceded her in death on May 5, 1984.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by one son, Beryl Cooper and wife, Marian, of Wilmington, N.C.; one daughter-in-law, Sue Ann Cooper of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, David Cooper, Mary Beth Kimmel, Amy Sue Cooper, Mark Cooper and Patrick Cooper; and five great grandchildren.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by two sons, Eugene Cooper and Darrell Cooper; six brothers; and two sisters.

Graveside services and interment will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Arthur L. Bennett III officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
