WOMAN KILLED BY LIGHTNING.
Palmer, Sept. 1. (AP) - Funeral services were held at Ferris Tuesday for Mrs. Elbert [O'Briant], 45 [she was actually 37 years old], resident of the Cross Roads community in Ellis County, who was killed by a bolt of lightning Monday. She was in the kitchen of her home when the bolt struck and was dead before her husband her father, sitting on the porch, could reach her.
*Her death certificate states a different scenario-"This lady was at Bob Colgate's [?] home and had started home with her husband and had not went but a little ways then she was struck."
