Visitation is 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008, in the chapel of E.P. Compean Funeral Directors, with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. A funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, in the chapel of E.P. Compean Funeral Directors. Interment follows in WOW Cemetery in Rosenberg, Texas. Pallbearers are Ralph Cortez, Joe Garza, Sammy Bentancur, Gabriel Bentancur, Max Vasquez, and John Bentancur.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Perez Bentancur; parents, Enrique and Delores Bentancur; brothers, Porfirio, Marcello, Manuel, Enrique Jr., Fernando, Felipe, and Juan Bentancur; and sister, Dominga Cruz.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Monica Romero and husband, Leoncio, and Veronica Gonzalez and husband, Jose; sisters, Lela Garcia, Juanita Garza, Dominga Cortez, and Catarina Villaloboz; mother-in-law, Aurora Perez; five grandchildren, Marina, Sonya, Caleb, Damaris, and Abraham.
