JAMES EASLEY
---James M. Easley of LaCrosse, died Tuesday morning in a Kirksville hospital at the age of eighty-four. He had been in the hospital since January 23 when his hip was broken in a fall.
---Easley was born February 25, 1869, the son of William Francis and Elizabeth (Mossbarger) Easley.
---He was married in 1888 to Eliza Johnson who died in 1901. To this union were born six children, Mrs. Stella Beall of La Plata, W. J. and Fred of Mason City, Iowa, Dewey of Lafayette, Indiana and Harvey of Mason City, Iowa. Mrs. Ollie Smith preceded him in death.
---On June 2, 1908 Easley married Miss Rhoda Gunnels. To this union four children were born: James M., Jr. of the home, Roy Olin of Kirksville, Sanford Leo of Hematite, Missouri and Zula McVay of LaCrosse.
---Besides his children and wife he is survived by thirty-two grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Jake Easley of Chalan, Washington. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
---Funeral services were at the McCollum Funeral Home in Gifford Thursday with Rev. Claude Thompson officiating.
