William J. Easley, 86, 207 6th N.E., died Monday (Jan. 26, 1981) at a Mason City nursing home [Good Shepherd Geriatric Center].
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, with the Rev. M. A. Kampfe of Good Shepherd Geriatric Center officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mason City.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. Thursday and until time of services at the funeral home.
The family request memorials be made to the Good Shepherd Geriatric Center.
Mr. Easley moved to Sheffield from Missouri in 1912 and married Jennie A. Randall Aug 10, 1914 in Sheffield. In 1915 they moved to Mason City where he worked as a plastering contractor, until retiring in 1953. He worked on many buildings in the area including the First United Methodist Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, Holy Family Catholic Church, and the First Presbyterian Church, All in Mason City.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, IOOF Lodge 224 and North Iowa Builder's Association.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie A. Easley, Mason City; five daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Ollie) Andrews, Iowa City; Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Beery of Sylmar, Calif.; Mrs. Robert (Mary Lou) Cooper, Mason City; Mrs. John (Kathryn) Mikovec of Des Moines; and Mrs. Russell (Wilma) Myers, Brightwood, Va.; four sons, Leonard M. "Jack" Easley and Robert W. Easley both of Mason City; Clifford Easley, Sacramento, Calif.; and Harold Easley, of Martinez, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
