Dessa Larrison, 97, Converse, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 1984, at the Wesleyan Nursing Home, Marion.

She was born in Howard County on June 19, 1887, to William and Ella Powell Ballard. She married Charles "Fred" Larrison on Dec. 11, 1907, in Miami County, and he died Nov. 17, 1969.

Surviving are three daughters: Pauline Childers and Faye Renaker, both of Converse, and Virginia Reisner, Marion; one son, Glen, Marion; 15 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Larrison was a member of the Amboy Friends Church and United Society of Friends; she was a charter member of the Miami County Farm Bureau.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Amboy Friends Church, with the Rev. Glann Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawn Cemetery, Amboy. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Laird Funeral Home, Amboy. Memorial donations may be made to the Gideons International or White's Institute; envelopes are available at the funeral home.
