Obituary
Peter J. Luddy
Peter J. Luddy died early this morning at the Post Graduate Hospital, New York, where he had gone about two weeks ago for special treatment. The remains will be brought to this city and conveyed to his late home, 148 South Elm Street, from where the funeral will take place, the time to be given later.
Mr. Luddy had been a resident of Waterbury from his early life and employed in the silk department of the Miller & Peck Company for a great many years. He was a man of the finest ideals and highest character and was very well known throughout the city. He lived as a young man in the Brooklyn district, being one of a large family, well-known and highly esteemed in that section. He leaves his wife, Elizabeth (Ahearn) Luddy, and two sons, John and Timothy; also five brothers, Thomas, Timothy and John of this city, Patrick of Ansonia and William of Bridgeport; and four sisters, Mrs. J.S. Gorman, Mrs. Morgan Burke, Mrs. Margaret Mitchell and Sister Anna Bridget of Taunton, Mass.
He was a member of Barcelona Council, K. of C., of the Third Division, A.O.H., and of the Patrick Sarsfield Club.
