ROCKBRIDGE BATHS -- Eleanor Cornelia McCurdy, 85, died Wednesday (July 23, 1986) at Stonewall Jackson Extended Care Facility.
She was born May 23, 1901 in Rockbridge County, the daughter of Emmett K. and Mary (Bare) Firebaugh.
She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Alfred McCurdy Sr. of Rockbridge Baths; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Engleman of Lexington; one son, Henry Alfred McCurdy Jr. of Rockbridge Baths, and five grandchildren.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Daniel S. Clark, with burial in Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Lexington Life Saving and First Aid Crew or Rockbridge Bath Fire Department.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at the funeral home.
