Mrs. Emmett K. Firebaugh, formerly of Rockbridge county, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry A. McCurdy at Middlebrook. She had been living in Augusta county for 20 years.
Mrs. Firebaugh was born in Rockbridge May 22, 1875, a daughter of Isaac Bare and Nannie Vest Bare. She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian church at Rockbridge Baths.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Bethesda Presbyterian church. The services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Holmes Rolston, assisted by Rev. D.B. Walthall.
She is survived by her husband, Emmett K. Firebaugh, and the following children: Mrs. Jessie L. Sensabaugh, Rockbridge Baths; C. Clarence Firebaugh, Buena Vista; Mrs. H.A. McCurdy, Middlebrook; William L. Firebaugh, Lexington; A.B. Firebaugh and Miss Marie R. Firebaugh, Baltimore. Two brothers also survive, C.C. Bare and S.W. Bare of Lexington.
