Anna Muriel Kolthoff, 82, LaGrange, died Sunday, December 2, 2001, at Blessing Hospital, Quincy. Born February 8k 1919, in St. Patrick, she was the daughter of George William and Lucy Jane Simpson Ellison. She married E. Leland Kolthoff June 18, 1941, in Canton. He survives. She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in LaGrange. Muriel taught school for forty-three years and retired as an elementary teacher from Canton R-V school. Survivors include her husband Leland, LaGrange; two brothers Robert Ellison, LaGrange and Howard Ellison, Canton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters Mary and Ruby Ellison; Louise Solter, Hilda Logsdon, and Helen Stephens; and four brothers Patrick Eugene, Paul, George, and Harold Ellison. Visitation was held Tuesday, December 4, 2001, 4:00 till 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends after 6:00 p.m., at the Davis Funeral Home, LaGrange. There was a Rosary Service Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home, LaGrange. A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday, December 5, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. at the Notre Dame Catholic Church, LaGrange, with Father Tom Albers officiating. Burial was at Memorial Cemetery in LaGrange. Music was provided by Barb Logsdon, pianist and Mary Lair, vocalist. Pallbearers were George Earl Ellison, Francis Ellison, Larry Ellison, Jerry Logsdon, Lance Solter, and Bill Stephens.
