Esther F. Derrick, 95, of Curry Run died Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield. Born May 19, 1915, at Greenwood Township, Clearfield County, she was a daughter of Otis and Zada (Johnston) Lines. Mrs. Derrick was a homemaker. She was a member of the Curry Run United Methodist Church. She is survived by three children, Stanley O. Derrick and wife, Mary, of Curry Run, Joyce Neal and husband, Ronald, of Lake City, Fla., and Sandy Duplicki and husband, Eugene, of Grampian; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Rex 'Pap' Derrick, on April 3, 2004 and whom she wed September 1, 1935, at Mahaffey; a daughter, Dolores O'Dell; a granddaughter, Renee Neal; four brothers; and four sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 14, at 11 a.m. at Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville with Rev. M. Bruce Dimmick officiating. Interment will follow in the Mahaffey Cemetery, Mahaffey. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, June 14, from 10-11 a.m. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Curwensville Public Library, 601 Beech Street, Curwensville, PA 16833; or the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Avenue, Building D, Suite 101, Altoona, PA 16601
