Since 30 January 1891, Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Ribble have been residents of this section of Texas. Mr. Ribble came to the country in 1883 and went to work on a ranch in Cottle County. The ranch extended into the section now known as Foard County. He retired to Graham, Texas and there he married Miss Addie Gibson. Mr. Ribble moved to Young County with his family in 1873. After his marriage, he returned to Foard County. In 1891, the couple settled in the western part of Foard County. Mr. Ribble continued to work for George Brandt of the Hesperian Cattle Company. Mr. and Mrs. Ribble lived on the Triple D Ranch for three years and later moved to King County where Mr. Ribble had bought some land.
