Howard Frybarger, 87, 705 Poplar St., died at 8:29 p.m. Monday in Mercy Hospital North.

He was born in Hamilton, Ohio, son of Daniel Ambrose and Mary Elizabeth Brummett Frybarger.

Mr. Frybarger worked at ford Motor Co., retiring in 1955.

He married Mary Frances Cummins on April 6, 1920 in Hamilton, Ohio. She preceded him in death on August 29, 1979, at Hamilton, Ohio.

He was a member of the Ross Avenue Church of God and the Ford Motor union.

From 1915 to 1916, he served in the Army along the Mexican border, chasing Pancho Villa under General John J. Pershing. From 1917 to 1919, he was a wagoner in France, during World War I.

He leaves a son, Samuel Leroy Frybarger, Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Frederick (Margaret) Cupp and Mrs. Erma Jean Miller, both of Hamilton; and 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services 2 p.m. Thursday, Ross Avenue Church of God with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Avance-Cahill-Wenning Funeral Home, 229 Dayton St.
