Funeral services for Mrs. Ida G. Oldiges, 81, 417 Charles St., who died Thursday at home, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Michael J. Colligan Funeral Home, 437 S. Third St. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 o’clock in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Born in Oliver Spring, Tenn., on Sept. 5, 1881, the daughter of Daniel A. and Mary Elizabeth Brummett Frybarger, she was one of 14 children.
She came to Hamilton as a child with her family and was educated in the local public schools. A member of St. Joseph Church for 35 years, she was married to Don Oldiges.
Mrs. Oldiges was a devoted mother and loving wife, dedicating her life to the welfare and happiness of her family. She was fond of flowers and spent many hours in her garden.
She leaves her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Robert P. (Loretta) Geisler, Phoenix, Ariz.; a grandson, Robert T. Geisler, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Alvena Moir, both of Phoenix; six great-grandchildren, a brother, Howard Homer Frybarger, Hamilton, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and four sisters.
