Janie Lee (Walling) Lowman, age 65, of San Antonio, Texas died September 8, 2010 in San Antonio. Burial was in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Janie selflessly donated her body to medical science research, particularly for the study of Friedreich's Ataxia. Janie was born February 18, 1945 in Ralls, Texas to John Paskel Walling and Faye Denson Walling. She was a strong Christian woman with a beautiful spirit and a sustaining faith in God. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sandra Kay Walling, and Patricia Walling Dhabolt; and brothers, John Paskel Walling Jr., and Bennie L. Walling. She is survived by her loving husband, William "Bill" Lowman; children, Katrina and husband Travis, and William Anthony Lowman; and brothers, Allen Walling, and Gerald Walling.
