Gerald Walling of Houston, Texas passed away after a long battle with cancer as he was surrounded by family. He was born to J.P. Walling and Faye Denson Walling.
Gerald grew up in Palestine, Texas and attended Palestine High School. He moved to Houston where he was in the upholstery business for years. He was an avid hunter. He enjoyed going to the lake and running his jet boats, camping with his children and skiing both on water and on snow. He also competed in boat racing and car racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Janie Lowman, and Patricia Wright; brothers, Bennie Walding, Allan Walling and Pascal Walling.
He is survived by his daughters, Melinda Lorraine Douglas Atkins, Misty Walling, Melissa Denise Gibbs and Melaine Lynette Bordet; son, Gerald Christopher Walling; grandsons Corey and Dustin; great grandson, Gabriel; great granddaughters, Desiree and Anneliese; great grandson, Elijah and numerous extended family.
A Celebration of his life and viewing will be at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home June 8th.
