~ Pascal Walling ~
Services for John "Pascal" Walling, Jr. will be at 1p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Harold Paulsen officiating. Burial will be at Strong Memorial Park in Slocum under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mr. Walling died Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston.
Mr. Walling was born in Anderson County on Nov. 22, 1934, a son of John P. and Faye Gertrude Denson Walling. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant and a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abilene.
He is survived by his wife Adela S. Walling of Abilene; daughter, Sandra Marie Walling Hill of Abilene; sons, Larry D. Walling of Midland and Mark Allan Walling of Tampa, Fla; mother, Faye Denson Walling of Palestine; sisters, Patricia Dhabolt of Palestine and Janie Lowman of Bandera; brothers Gerald Walling and Bennie L. Walling, both of Houston and Richard Alan Walling of California; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Wright, Johnny Burke, Jack Walling, Rodney Hill, John Walling and Sergio Martinez.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abilene.
~Pascal died in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant~
He was named after his father, but their middle names were not spelled the same. I know this because he was my first cousin.
