Glen Kay Goodwin, 66, of Manti, died August 10, 1990 in the Gunnison Valley Hospital.

Born October 25, 1923 in Bicknell to Lewis Adams and Thisbe Alicia Hanks Goodwin. Married Norma Manning June 16, 1948 in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a coach and educator for 38 years in the Manti High School.

Veteran WW II serving in the U.S. Navy, South Pacific. He graduated from Wayne County High School; graduate Snow College, Ephraim, where he was the Student Body President and the Efficiency Student; graduate of BYU in Physical Education and Health, where he participated in track and field.

He was the group leader of the High Priest Quorum in the Manti 2nd Ward, was serving on the Manti City Council, and was an active temple worker at the time of his death.

Survived by wife; two sons, and three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Kay) Nielsen, Orem; Mrs. Bruce (Julie) Hall, Spanish Fork; Rex S., Pleasant Grove; Clair M., Manti; Mrs. Grant (Rosemary) Bowden, Midvale; 11 grandchildren; six brothers and three sisters, Ray H., and David A., both Salt Lake City; Loril M., Bountiful; Walter I., Sun City, Ariz.; L. Victor, Cyprus, Calif.; Bryce E., Brigham City; Mrs. Iris Bagley, Moroni; Mrs. Betty Christiansen, Provo; and Mrs. Gladys Mallard, Chino, Calif.

Funeral services Wednesday, 12 noon, Manti 2nd LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call Buchanan Mortuary Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, at the chapel, one and a half hours prior to services. Interment, Manti City Cemetery with military honors. Funeral directors, Buchanan Mortuary.
