Mrs. Mary H. Scott, 103 West Ray Street, Sweet Springs, died Tuesday in her home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Sweet Springs Baptist Church and burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery, Marshall. Visitation will be from seven to 8:30 o'clock tonight in the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Mrs. Scott, the daughter of Edwin M. and Mamie Hume Hutcherson, was born at the family home west of Marshall. She was married April 28, 1926 in her parents' home to Joe J. Scott, who preceded her in death May 13, 1945. Mrs. Scott was a retired elementary teacher and had taught in the Sweet Spring Schools, Prairie Home and Arrow Rock Schools. She had been a resident of Sweet Springs since 1951 and prior to that she lived in Marshall. She was a 1950 graduate of Missouri Val¬ley College, a member of the Sweet Springs Baptist Church and the Fortnightly Club there. Surviving are two daughters, Mr. Robert (Mary Evelyn) Younger; Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. K. L. (Marjorie) Young, Al¬bany, Mo.; two sons, Joel E. Scott. Forestville, Md., Milton H. Scott, Kansas City, Mo., seven grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph Hutcherson, Milton Hutcherson, Modesto, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Clifton (Louise), Craig, Mill Valley, Calif., and Mrs. J.L. (Lura) Harrison, Marshall. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, William Hutcherson, and a sister, Mrs. William Earl (Edna) Blackburn.
