Theodore was the oldest son of Claude and Ada (Cresse) Young. He had three brothers: Frank, Hobart and Amasa. Theodore was called "Dory". He married Julia Spalding born in 1895. They had 4 children: John T. 26 Mar 1916 d. Jul 1978 Stone Harbor, NJ, who married Madeline Fieyburger and had children Jack and Carol; Maurice Curtis "Curt" 10 Nov 1920 d. Jul 1975 NJ, who married Norma Brown and had children Donald and Steven; Phillip Grayson 3 Apr 1928 d. 9 Dec 2009 in Deerfield Bch, FL, who married Nancy Gargan and had a son David; and Theodore B. Jr 1922, who died in infancy. Theodore and Julie lived in Cape May Courthouse and owned a chicken farm. He was a Master Mason member of the Arbutus Chapter F&AM, a former director of the Mechanics and Laborers building and Loan Association, chairman of the Board of Southern Jersey Airways, contol director of the Aero-Insect Control and a member of the Cape May County Board of Agriculture. His wife, Julie, died in 1953 when a train hit her car while she was out Christmas shopping. In 2006 their house was still standing and the chicken farm was a gym.
