Osa A. Barnes, 89, formerly of Woodbine Avenue, died Friday in Community-General Hospital. Mr. Barnes was a native of Phoenix and lived most of his life in Syracuse. He was employed by General Electric Co., retiring in 1964 after many years of service. His wife, Louise, died in 1984. Surviving are a son, Robert L. Barnes of Omaha, Neb.; a stepdaughter, Ruby Orr of Camillus; a brother, Floyd of Independence, Mo.; three sisters, May Askew of Hannibal, and Fern Hare and Doris Muckey, both of Fulton; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Welter-Price Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 2649 James
