A large crowd of relatives and friends attended the funeral of Mr. S. A. Self, Jr. who died in the Sanatorium in Lynchburg Sunday night, Feb. 13. The body was laid to rest near his boyhood home in Mt. Olivet Churchyard.
The pallbearers were Messrs. W. T. Stultz, Roy L. Barrow, Austin Wade, Herman Minter and Burton Barrow, nephews of the deceased.
Mr. Self was 60 years of age and is survived by his father, S. N. Self of Preston, four brothers, J. H. & J. M. Self of Martinsville, P. W. Self of Chatham and James Self of Lynchburg, Va. and four sisters, Mrs. J. W. Cheshire and Mrs. J. O. Clarke of Martinsville, Mrs. John H. Lovell of Mt. Olivet and Mrs. T. L Chappelle of East Bank, W. Va.
