Fri., Nov. 23 (6-5): Mrs. A. A. Sears, wife of Dr. J. H. Sears, died today at the family residence on South 4th, age 72. Leaves husband and three children: Mrs. ,Joe W. Taylor, Mrs. J. N. Gallagher, and John Sears. Funeral today from the residence at 905 South 4th. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Born May 28, 1827, Franklin County, Alabama, daughter of Davis and Patience B. Gurley. To Waco in 1850. Was married to Mortimer Downs in Alabama. Mr. Downs died in 1851. Oct. 24, 1854, married J. H.
