Mrs. J. R. Hall Dies After Long Illness
The funeral of Mrs. J.R. Hall, who died at her home in Elmo at 7:20 this morning, will be held at the Methodist church in Elmo Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. J.A. Old, pastor of the Terrell Methodist church, will conduct the services. Pallbearers will include her nephews: Joe and Truett Pratt, Raymond, Russell, Emmett and Hurley Jones. Burial will be given in the Elmo cemetery.
Mrs. Hall was a native of Kaufman county, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Jones, both deceased. She was born Jan. 9, 1860. She is survived by her husband, J.R. Hall, one son, A.K. Hall of Fort Worth; five daughters, Mrs. J.L. Long, Tyler, Mrs. D.D. Wimberly, Roswell, N.M., Mrs. J.W. Payne, Wilson, Okla.; Mrs. Jesse Nealy, San Antonio, and Mrs. Margaret Wendorf, Terrell; two brothers, B.D. and O.D. Jones, Terrell. Thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild are also living.
Mrs. Hall was a member of the Methodist church from childhood and served it loyally and faithfully throughout her long and useful life. Her deeds matched her professions, and many there were recipients of her good deed and kind words.
