He was born March 18, 1909 in Bothwell, a son of Rasmus (Daddy) and Mary Elvina Johnson Anderson. He married Phyllis Didericksen Nov. 13, 1932 in the Logan LDS Temple; she died June 13, 1960. He married Marcia Huntsman, Sept. 1961 in Elko, Nev., she died Dec. 14, 1991.
Mr. Anderson was a lifelong resident of Thatcher until the past three years, when he became a resident of the Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City.
He was a farmer and had been employed at Thiokol until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the Box Elder Sheriffs Posse for many years and raised quarter horses, which he loved very much. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Surviving are one son, Lonny R. Anderson, Thatcher; one daughter and her husband, LaGay and Chuck Berchtold, Brigham City; one grand-daughter, Trinity Berchtold; one brother, Cleon Anderson, Bothwell; four sisters, Vera Smith, Preston, Ida.; Ruby Orwin, Tremonton; Estella (Henry) Newman, Mable Stokes, both Bothwell.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Leland, Reed, Wallace, Clyde, and Golden Anderson; sisters, Reta Adams, Aimee Alien, Alice Roche, Wanda Newman and Edna Anderson; step-son, Brian Huntsman.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30, 11 a.m. at the Thatcher-Penrose Ward Chapel, 11475 W. 10400 N., with Bishop Matt Zollinger, officating. Friends may call Wed., 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, and Thursday, 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment in the Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.
