Catholic Church, Salem, SD. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mary Jane Forster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Forster, was born
4-15-1913 near Salem, SD. She grew up in the Salem area and on 9-3-1935 she
married George Arnold in Salem. They lived their entire married lives in the
Salem area where Mr. Arnold was a trucker. He died in 1974 and Mrs. Arnold
died on 8-26-1980 in McKennan Hospital at Sioux Falls.
Survivors include; one son, George of Salem, SD; one daughter Mrs. Milford
(Sherry) Garness of Rochester, Minn.; four grandchildren, three brothers,
Harold of Salem, SD; Wally of El Cajon, Calif.; and Dale of Salem, SD; four
sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Kirby of Rapid City, SD; Mrs. Bill (Dorothy) Hershley
of Rapid City, SD; Mrs. Charles (Lavonne) Newton of Anaheim, Calif.; and Mrs.
Jim (Beverly) Thieszen of Fort Collins, Colorado, and a host of other
relatives and friends.
