Nelson C. Forbes, 83, a resident of Vermont since 1971, died at 5:15 a.m. Friday, June 19, 1992, at his residence. Born Feb. 10, 1909, in Peoria to William A. "George" and Agnes Neilson Forbes, he married Dorotha Lee Kinsey on June 9, 1940, in Gideon, Mo. She survives, along with three daughters, Sharon Wallace of Locust Grove, Ga., Dorothy Kay Emerick of Elmwood and Carol Payne of Brimfield; three sons, Nelson W. and Kenneth L., both of Brimfield and Donald E. of Metamora; two brothers, Clifton of Vancouver, Wash., and Leslie of Peoria; three sisters, Elsie Seipel of Peoria, Sylvia Keefer of Middlegrove and Emma Forbes of East Peoria; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter and four brothers preceded him in death.
