Nettie C. was the 15th child of Charles A. and Laura A. Dutton. Nettie was born with congental defects in the development of her upper torso. She had no fingers on her right hand and a deformed left arm. She was admitted to the Taylor County Farm after the death of her mother in 1908. She remained there with her sister who was afflicted with Down Syndrome. She was 33 years old at the time of her death.
