Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Cox, 91, of 7923 Greeley, Bethel, died last night at her home.
She was born in London, England, and coming to the U.S. at the age of 5, had been a resident of Wyandotte county 47 years. She was the widow of Harry Cox Sr., a foreman for the Missouri Pacific railroad, who died in 1935. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Alice S. Carr, 2728 N. 72nd, and Mrs. Amy Massey, 2906 N. 74th, both of Bethel, and Mrs. Ada Spidle, 324 N.33rd; three sons, Harry Cox Jr., of the home, Raymond Cox, 2816 N. 74th, and Charles Cox, 2753 N. 74th, both of Bethel; a stepsister, Mrs. Amy Preston, LaGrange, Calif.; 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. today at the Porter and Sons chapel. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Fairview cemetery in Goff, Kan.
