Helen was born Nov. 20, 1907, in rural Shelbyville, the daughter of Herman and Ollie Deere Page. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Windsor. She was a devoted, loving mother and dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She married Perry E. Curtis on Jan. 3, 1931, in Champaign. He preceded her in death in 1946.
Surviving are her sons, Gene Curtis and wife Judy; Lee Curtis and wife Muriel; grandchildren, Shannon Curtis; Michelle Stephenson; Kimberly McPherson; Kevin Curtis; great-grandchildren, Natalie and Perry Curtis; Connor and Caitlin McPherson; sisters, Hilda Hug; Marie Anderson and Nelda Shaffer; brothers, Mervin Page and Nile Page
