Presley Lewellen, 88, of Ripley in the Chapman Community, died December 16, 1992 at the Tippah County Hospital. He was born on his family's homestead to L Fount and Mary Elizabeth Carpenter Lewellen on July 26, 1904.
He was a member of Chapman Church of Christ with his wife, Annie Lois Heavener Lewellen. He was a farmer and a member of Chapman TCDC.
Presley was survived by his wife, Lois of Ripley; one son, Gary H Lewellen of Booneville, MS; two daughters, Judith (Herchel) Windham and Cheryl (Dee, Jr.) Holliday, both of Ripley; one brother, Escar Lewellen of Booneville; one sister, Ollie Call of Ripley; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Blaine Holliday, Johnny Holliday, Kelly Holliday, Chris Lewellen, Justin Lewellen and Ken Adams.
