Harry O. Woehrle, 73, of Lexington, died Monday, August 2, 1999. He was born April 30, 1926, at Lexington, to Fred E. and Clars Johanna Emma (Schwarz) Woehrle. Harry grew up and attended school at Lexington. He then went into the service, serving with the U.S. Army during WWII, where he received the Purple Heart. Upon his return from the Army he met and married June Howell on July 16, 1950, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington. After their marriage, Harry worked for the hay mill in Lexington and then went onto work for Roberts Dairy for 29 1/2 years until his retirement. Following that he worked for Conoco, Nebraskaland Tire and then Stoney's until his health forced him to quit. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the VFW adn the Lexington Bowling Association, where he was a member of the Lexington Bowling Assocation Hall of Fame. He loved spending tim with his family and his grandchildren. His hobbies included bowling, fishing, hunting and specially playing cards. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many, many friends. Survivors include his wife, June Woehrle of Lexington, a son a his wife, Brad and Rael Woehrle of Elwood; two daughters and their husbands, Vicki and Hal Lux of Lexington and Cathy and Greg Carpenter of Omaha; one brother and his wife, Roger and Marie Woehrle of North Glenn, Colorado; seven grandhcildren, Diana, Meagan and Phillip Carpenter, Ranae, Shaun and Alicia Lux and Ethan Woehrle and one great-granddaugher, Haley Lux. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eva Dore and Lydia Newton and two brothers, Clarence and Arnold. Services will be hild Thursday, August 5, 1999, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington with Pastor Ralph Guetersloh officiating. Burial will be with Military Honors at the Evergreen Cemtery at Lexington.Memorial are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church. the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department or the American Cancer Socity. The Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
