Roger enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1953 and was subsequently stationed at many air bases int eh USA, Germany, Spain, and Southeast Asia. He was honorable discharged after more than twenty years of significant service to his country, and as Vietnam veteran.
Roger married Marie Browning, on May 27, 1956, and together they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2006. Their marriage was blessed with three sons, Terry, Jeffery, and Steven: and four grandsons.
Roger, Marie, and their family moved to Colorado in 1974 and became active members of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and School in Northglenn where Marie became a teacher. Over many years of church membership, Roger served his Lord as an Elder, Trustee, and Usher.
His favorite sports teams were the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Denver Broncos, although he was a fan of all the Denver sports teams. Roger was an avid bowler, and also enjoyed fishing and building model aircraft and ships. His travels took him to most of the United States including Hawaii and Alaska.
Roger Dean Woehrle was called home to heaven by his Lord Jesus Christ on February 14, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Marie; sons Terry, Jeffery, and Steven; and their families.
Interment will be a Fort Logan National Cemetery on February 21, 2:00 p.m.
