Elias' paternal grandparents were William Henry Hodges & Hannah Colson, both of whom are buried in the Anderson Church Cemetery, Collins, Tattnall Co., GA; Sect. C1C. Hannah is my great x3 aunt. Her father is my 4x great grandfather.
Elias was the last child born to Seaborn and Elizabeth Ann. He married Edna Elizabeth Coleman in 1896, also buried here. Their children are listed below:
1. Ruth Elizabeth Hodges, b. 16 Jul 1897
2. Elias Gibson Hodges, b. 25 Nov 1898; d. 21 Aug 1899, buried in section H8 of this cemetery.
3. Seaborn James Hodges, b. 10 Jun 1900; d. 21 Feb 1921, buried in section H8 of this cemetery.
4. Clara Lois Hodges, b. 31 Jan 1902; d. 24 Apr 1980; buried in section H8 of this cemetery.
5. Lucile Hodges, b. 13 Mar 1906; d. 29 Jan 1995; buried in section H8 of this cemetery.
6. Eli Hodges, b. 10 Dec 1909
7. Martha Sue Hodges, b. 29 Jul 1915; d. 24 May 1916, buried in section H8 of this cemetery.
