She was a lovely lady of small statue with blue eyes. She had dark brown hair when she was young. Later her hair turned pure white. She worked in the local school cafeteria as a cook and was an aide in Lincoln, IL. for handicapped children. She lived in a house in New Holland next to her church, the First Christian Church. She always had a large garden and pantry. She liked to make jellies, can, and preserve vegetables. She had three children, two girls and one boy, who are still living (2013). She married her 2nd cousin David Smith Elmore.
