OBITUARY
THE DUNLAP (IOWA) REPORTER
DATED APRIL 18, 1996:

Mass of Resurrection was held for Raymond H. Weber at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap Saturday morning, April 13, 1996, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Howard Fitzgerald was celebrant. Organist was Fran Klein and music was provided by Mandy Muff and EveVonne Muff.

Honor guard was provided by members of the Dunlap Fire Department. Military graveside rites were courtesy of Dunlap American Legion Post No. 224.

Interment was made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Dunlap. Casket bearers wre Luke Fouts, Mike Gunia, Elmer Melby, Butch Schulte, Ed Gunia, Jerry McDonald, Chad Muff, Victor Thomsen. Fouts Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Raymond H. Weber, 77, of Dunlap died Wednesday, April 10, 1996, at his home in Dunlap.

Ray was born October 16, 1918 in Boyer Township Crawford County, Iowa to Henry John and Nelli Helen (Holihan) Weber. He attended country school. Ray served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.

Ray has had many occupations such as owner and operator of a corn sheller, Deputy Sheriff and Coordinator of West Central Development in Dunlap. As a teenager during the depression, Ray and his best friend, Neil Rife, "rode the rails" all over the Western United States. He had many intriguing stories to tell about their adventures.

August 12, 1940 Ray married Ella Mae Glawinski at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap.

Ray was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, American Legion Post No. 224 and a volunteer Fire fighter for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and passed on his passion for these to his children.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ella Mae; two brothers, Ronnie and Donald; five sisters, Dorothy, Phyllis, Irene, Delores and Marie and Grandson, Larry Muff.

Survivors include his two sons, Allan Weber and his wife Helen of Sibley and Ron Weber and his wife Janelle of Hastings, Neb.; two daughters, Judy and her husband Larry Muff of Dunlap and Debbie and her husband Paul Leonard of Dunlap; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert and his wife Lorraine of Dunlap; three sisters, Mildred and her husband Leo Heller of Dunlap, Lucille Kendall of Omaha, Neb., and JoAnne and her husband Jim Davie of Dunlap.
