A Mass of the Resurrection for Marie L. Honaker was celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap, Monday, January 1, 1973 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Adam Reisz was the celebrant. Bob Heller and Tom Davie served as altar boys. White funeral home of Dunlap had charge of the arrangements. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Heller, Ron Weber, Jack and Ken Schaefer of Omaha, Jim Rethmeier of Council Bluffs and Bob Anderson of Schleswig. Muriel Schafer of Logan and John Heller of Dunlap were honorary pallbearers.
All the pallbearers and altar boys are nephews of the deceased.
Marie Leone Honaker, the second eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weber, died Friday, December 29, 1972. Marie was born January 13, 1914 in Dunlap, Iowa. She spent all her early life in Dunlap.
In October of 1932, she was united in marriage to Dean Honaker of Dunlap. To this union two sons were born, Leonard of Milwaukee, Wis., and Darrell of Council Bluffs. Most of their married life was spent in Dunlap. Marie was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by her husband, Dean, sons Leonard and Darrell and six grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Henry Weber; five sisters: Mrs. Al (Irene) Schaefer, Mrs. Leo (Mildred) Heller, Mrs. Jim (Joan) Davie of Dunlap, Mrs. Glen (Lucille) Kendall of Omaha and Mrs. Edward (Delores) Rethmeier of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Raymond and Robert Weber of Dunlap, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She has been preceded in death by her father, Henry Weber, two brothers, Donald and Ronald Weber and two sisters, Phyllis and Dorothy.
