ULM -- Arthur L. "Cotton" Longfellow, 80, a retired John Deere foundry manager and Army veteran, died of natural causes Monday May 17, 2004 at Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405 (406) 455-3040.
Mr. Longfellow was a son born on June 15, 1923 to Earl Arthur Russell and Lota Jane (Wagoner) Longfellow in Hoopeston, Illinois. He was the third oldest of ten children.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004 at Highland Baptist Church, 3601 1st Ave S in Great Falls, Montana. O'Connor Funeral Home, 2425 8th Ave N, Great Falls, MT 59401 (406) 453-7257 is handling cremation and arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Jan McKeown of Great Falls; sons Sid (Dee) Longfellow of Ulm, Alvin Longfellow of Hoopeston, Ill., and Al Jon (Marilyn) Longfellow of Denver; brothers Max Longfellow of Hoopeston and Lester (Mary) Longfellow of Cissna Park, Ill.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Longfellow; and an infant son and by his parents, brothers, Richard R. (MaryJane) Longfellow Sr., Earl John Charles (Nadinie) Longfellow II, Roscoe Franklin (Lorene Geike) Longfellow, and Gilbert Donald Dale (Georgia) Longfellow, and two sisters, Alta Elnora Longfellow (C. Tilden) Longest and Maurine Longfellow (Willard) Bruens.
