THE DEATH OF RHEA D. ANDERSON
Rhea D Cartmill Anderson, 89, formerly of 2741 N Salisbury Street in West Lafayette, died November 6, at Westminster Healthcare where she had been a resident for 10 years. She was born on December 31, 1909 in Stockwell and graduated from Stockwell High School. She lived in Stockwell and Clark's Hill most of her life. She married Joy C Anderson on September 5, 1936 and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1989. Mrs Anderson had worked at Loeb's Department Store gift shop as a clerk and she was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Clark's Hill Christian Church and its Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Dayton for 50 years. She is survived by a son, Alan Anderson of Arlington Heights, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs Alys Dickerson of Lafayette and Mrs Eleanor Andress of West Lafayette; three brothers, John Cartmill of Mulberry, Max Cartmill of El Cajon, California, and Lowell Cartmill of Exeter, N.H.; and two grandchildren, Brock Anderson and Stacy Streb. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thad Cartmill. Richards-Loy and Wheeler Funeral Home handled arrangements with the Rev Steve Minkler officiating. Entombment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorials can be made to Clark's Hill Christian Church.
