FOWLER FUNERAL SERVICES ARE HELD
The last tribute of respect and esteem to Ironton Fowler, of Ventura, was paid at his funeral yesterday, the services being held at Barker and McCormick Chapel.
The death of Mr. Fowler removed one of Ventura's octogenarians. The deceased, a carpenter, was born in Indiana August 11, 1848, and was the only surviving brother of a family of six, the other five having lost their lives in the Civil War.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Della M. Fowler, and one son, Ben Newton, of Florida.
The deceased was a lifetime Methodist and was affiliated with the St. John's church of this city. The Rev. H. Strickland officiated at the funeral. Burial was in Ivy Lawn cemetery.
