WILLIAM W. FOWLER DEAD
William H. Fowler died about nine o'clock Sunday night at his home in Wilbur after a long illness which was due mostly to advanced age, as he was in his seventy-seventh year.
The deceased is survived by a wife, three daughters—Mrs. Emma Wilhite, of this city; Mrs. Joseph M. Robinson, living south of this city; Mrs. Lafe Goss, residing near Paragon; four sons, L. S. and Lincoln, near Wilbur; Frank, of Martinsville, and Willis, of Indianapolis.
Several brothers also survive him. One brother, Elvis Fowler, lives at Wilbur; two brothers, Eli and Ruffin Fowler, came in from their home in Emporia. Kansas, last week after receiving word of the serious condition of the deceased.
Mr. Fowler was well known in the west part of the county. He served as justice of the peace of Jefferson township for a number of years.
He was a member of Company H, 70th Indiana Volunteers during the Civil war. The funeral services will be held at Mt. Olive church in Jefferson township at eleven o'clock Tuesday morning.
