On October 2, 1898, Fate Conn married Emma DeLonia Hendrix in Cherokee County (Cherokee County Marriages, Book G. p. 55) and they had several children: Fronnie, Laura, Lula Bell, Pearl (Mrs. J.D. McCoy), Carl Lee, Herschel Cicero, Bessie, Allen W., and Mattie Conn.
Fate Conn's second wife was Sarah Elizabeth Wilson Conn.
Mr. Conn was a farmer who sold his produce to various grocery stores and a member of Chalcedonia Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at Chalcedonia Baptist Church, Tuesday, June 2, 1959 with Rev. W.W. Long and Rev. Ben Ghorley officiating.
At the time of his death, survivors included his second wife, Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Wilson Conn, two sons, Allen Conn of Canton and C.L. Conn of Rome; five daughters, Mrs. D.H. Daniel of West Point, Mrs. Tom McFarland and Mrs. A.B. Gaddis of Canton, Mrs. C.D. Haygood of Auburndale, FL, and Mrs. J.D. McCoy of Ball Ground; one sister, Mrs. Lula Richards of Acworth; 37 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
