On March 22, 1866, Margaret Purcell married Allen Cicero Dean Conn in Cherokee County, GA (Cherokee County Marriage Book D, p. 269). They had ten children of which 5 made it to adulthood: Dora D.(Mrs. Marcus Lafayette Holcomb), Tallula "Lula" V. (Mrs. Starling Richards), Walter Lafette "Fate", Alfred "Webb", and Homer Lee Conn. (Dr. Alfred "Webb" Conn became a physican and resided in Brunswick, Glynn County, GA. He and his wife are buried at Palmetto Cemetery and their find a grave memorial numbers are #29768941 and #29768958.)
Mrs. A.C. Conn was a member of the Baptist Church. She was a gentle, thoughtful and charitable lady; always thinking of others.
On Saturday morning,January 8, 1921, Margaret died of bronchial pneumonia. The funeral was held on Sunday, January 9, 1921 at the residence on Main Street in Canton. The service was conducted by Rev. W.H. Moody.
