MRS. GOLDIE SHIPMAN
Mrs. Goldie May Shipman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Wright, was born at Omaha, Mo., Oct. 19, 1897, and passed away June 11, 1956, at the age of 58 years, seven months and 23 days.
On May 11, 1915, she was married at Chariton to Isaac Shipman. To this union five children were born, four daughters, Ruth, Nancy Ann, Gladys and Nadine, and one son, Earl.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Gladys and Nancy Ann Terrell and son, Earl. Her husband, father and two sisters, Miss Gurney Wright and Mrs. Grace Campbell, two brothers, William and George also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nadine Moore of Colfax and Ruth, at home, four grandchildren, Barbara Jean Terrell of Newton, Betty, Jerry and Joanne Moore of Colfax. Also surviving are her mother, Annie Wright and four sisters, Mrs. Edith Morrison of Newton, Mrs. Mamie Couchman of Sewal, Mrs. Sadie Bishop of Chariton, Mrs. Maggie Meyer of Belleville, Ill., and two brothers, Fred Wright of Ottumwa and Lee Wright of Chariton.
She will be sadly missed by her loved ones and many relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Miley funeral home Wednesday, June 13, at 2 p.m., in charge of the Rev. W. W. Browning. Burial was made in the Chariton cemetery.
