ANNIE WRIGHT
Annie Sarah Cassady Wright, daughter of George and Hermita Cassady, was born at Graysville, Mo., March 16, 1875, and departed this life April 2, 1963, at the Boyd Nursing Home at the age of 88 years and 17 days.
She was married May 18, 1895, to Charles Maston Wright. To this union were born 11 children, four sons and seven daughters, including two sets of twins.
Two sons, Wiiliam and George, and three daughters, Miss Gernie Wright, Mrs. Grace Campbell and Mrs. Goldie Shipman, preceded her in death.
Five brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death; Hermita, Chester, Elijah, John, Sam and Joe Cassady, Ellen Bishop and Fannie Royce. Her husband preceded her in death April 3, 1949. Mrs. Wright lived in and near Chariton for the past 52 years.
She was a firm believer in the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by two sons, Fred Wright of Moulton, Lee Wright of Chariton, four daughters, Mrs. Edith Morrison of Newton, Mrs. Mamie Couchman of Sewal, Mrs. Sadie Bishop of Chariton and Mrs. Maggie Meyer of Belleville, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Sumpter of Cincinnati, Ia., 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, April 5, at 2 o'clock at the Miley Chapel. The Rev. T. L. Louiselle officiated with interment in the Derby cemetery.
